Foundational Years

At GAFL strong foundations are laid in the early years in order to leave a lasting impact on children’s development. At a phase when children absorb everything from the environment, GAFL encourages inquiry based and experiential learning in an happy and joyful set up using a unique combination of Play way and Montessori methods. The curriculum outlines learning outcomes which have been designed in a spiral and progressive manner.

Students engage themselves in activities that include music, art, science, math, block play, sand, water, language and dramatic play. Outdoor activities, sensory experiences, reading time, story time embrace the idea that ‘all children can learn’. A child’s mind is allowed to wander free, explore and link thought to action. Throughout the year children are engaged in activities that foster vocabulary building, communication skills and promote social interaction and cultural exchange.
